Chocolate Green Sauce
Add a little bitter chocolate to your green sauce for a whole new spin. Used for chocolate enchiladas and more.
- 3 C green sauce
- 1 to 2 TBSP unsweetened dark chocolate cubed or powder
- For dessert topping only: 2 TBSP honey or other sweetener to taste
This sauce works best if larger chunks in the green sauce are blended completely, especially if you want to use it as a dessert topping. If you like your regular green sauce chunky, be sure to blend or strain chunks out of the sweet version. I set aside a small amount to sweeten and left the rest plain for other dishes. Serve or store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
Serve over beef enchiladas. Use in chili or as a condiment. Top ice cream, chocolate cakes and other sweet desserts calling for a chocolate topping. Add to chocolate brownie or cake recipes.
